📋 Position Overview

As the CDP for Bakery & Pastry, you will be responsible for the production and presentation of all baked goods, pastries, and desserts. You will work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to maintain the highest standards of quality, consistency, and creativity, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our clients.

✅ Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce a wide variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.

  • Ensure all bakery/pastry items are of the highest quality, visually appealing, and delivered in a timely manner.

  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of the pastry section, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP).

  • Assist in menu development and contribute creative ideas for seasonal offerings and special events.

  • Monitor inventory, manage food costs, and place orders for the pastry section as needed.

  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff in pastry techniques.

🎯 Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-8 years of proven experience in professional bakery and pastry, preferably in a hotel, resort, or high-end catering environment.

  • Skills: Expertise in artisan bread-making, Viennoiserie, plated desserts, and bulk production. Strong creative and presentation skills.

  • Work Ethic: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently during an 11-hour duty shift.

  • Portfolio: Shortlisted candidates must be able to provide a work portfolio containing videos and high-quality images of their previous work for assessment.

  • Attributes: Team player, excellent time management, and a passion for culinary excellence.

💰 Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: 900 USD per month.

  • Additional Earnings: + Tips, + Service Charge (SC), + Party Allowance.

  • Accommodation: Free, fully furnished shared accommodation provided.

  • Meals: Free food provided on duty.

  • Location: Live and work in one of the world’s most beautiful destinations, the Maldives.
